New Policies. Same Bouldering! We appreciate your understanding of the changes made to the gym in order to help limit the spread of COVID-19. Please read through to the end for all information.

All climbers will need to sign a new waiver before visiting the gym. And please note that memberships and 10x are valid at both gyms!

Policy Overview:

We need your cooperation in order to limit the spread of COVID-19.  Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the gym’s new policies outlined below.  This includes: the booking process, what to prepare for your visit, arrival to the gym, entry and check-in, climbing, and check-out. We have included links to the resources we have used to help form our new policies.  We recognize that the new policies and health restrictions will take time to adjust to, but please know that we are working towards returning to normal as quickly as we can and we look forward to having you join us once you are ready.

Booking:

  • All climbers will need to book a session in advance using our reservation system
  • Time slots are 2 hours long, this should allow adequate time for a good warm-up and bouldering session
  • Members (EFT/Pre-Paid/Punch Pass Holders) are able to book sessions two weeks in advance.
  • Time slots that are not filled in advance will be available to be claimed for a drop-in by members and non-members 48 hours in advance from the start of a time-slot here
  • Cancellations must be made 24 hours prior to the session. Please use this form.

The Process

Prepare for your visit:

  • Come dressed in your athletic-wear.  There will be no access to the changerooms during this time.
  • Pack a bag for your things. There will be no access to the usual cubbies we offer, so please bring a bag that you can carry with you throughout your session.
  • Bring a face covering.  We encourage climbers to use face coverings in order to limit the spread of airborne droplets.
  • Liquid Chalk.  We will be requiring the use of liquid chalk or chalk balls within the facility. No loose chalk.

Arrival at the gym:

  • Arrive no-earlier than 15 minutes before your designated time-slot
  • Please respect social distancing while waiting to enter the gym.
  • We will require everyone to disinfect their hands and put on their face covering before checking in

Check-In and Climb!

  • Scan-in and give your name to the front desk staff
  • Follow our zoning guidelines on the floor and mats for proper traffic flow and proper social distancing within the gym.
  • Carry your bag with you from zone to zone when you are moving throughout the gym.
  • Send it now! (But also take it easy, don't get injured.)

Check-Out:

  • Staff will turn off the music 10 minutes before the end of your time slot to give you a heads up.
  • Scan-out and give your name to the front desk staff
  • Wash your hands
  • Have a great rest of your day!

Expectations For Climbers:

PLEASE DO NOT VISIT THE FACILITY IF YOU ARE FEELING ILL OR IF YOU MEET ANY OF THE REQUIREMENTS FOR ISOLATION, SUCH AS TRAVEL OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY OR PROVINCE.

  • Respect social distance guidelines. Please adhere to the traffic flow and zoning guidelines marked on the floor and mats.
  • Wash your hands frequently. Clean your hands with soap and water or hand sanitizer before and after climbing. To avoid extra traffic to our bathrooms, there are now sinks installed outside the gym as well as by the stairs for your convenience.
  • Do not touch your face. If you need to touch your face, please wash your hands first.  Please also wash your hands before returning to climbing
  • Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue or elbow. Immediately dispose of the tissue after use. Wash your hands before returning to climbing.
  • Wear a face covering.  We encourage the use of face coverings within the facility to help limit the spread of airborne droplets.
  • Use liquid chalk or chalk balls.  To limit the particulate in the air and keep the facility clean we will be requiring the use of liquid chalk, which will be readily available for purchase.
  • Wipe down any training equipment you use. For the care and consideration of your fellow members, please sanitize any weights or other training equipment once you have finished using them.

Changes to what we do and what we can offer:

  • LIMITED CAPACITY
We’ve altered our capacity limits and policies to make physical distancing easier.

  • HYGIENE PRACTICES

All staff and climbers will be required to wear a face covering while inside the gym. We will also be requiring liquid chalk, which will be readily available for purchase at the front desk. There are now more ways to clean and sanitize your hands within the gym as well. Please use them frequently.

  • INCREASED CLEANING

We have adapted our policies and have limited access to increase the frequency of cleaning high touch surfaces. There will be a sanitization block in-between every time slot. This should help, but will not replace good personal hygiene practices while in the facility.

  • PROTECTING OUR STAFF

We have limited some services and programs to help reduce the risk for our staff. Please respect the new policies and practice good personal hygiene. Current changes to services offered include*:

  • At this point in time, we will only be open to EFT/prepaid members and punch pass holders. No drop-ins at this time, however this will change as we expand our opening process.
  • All additional programs such as Beta Night, Womxn's Climb, Bouldering 101, and our Youth Program have been suspended until further notice.
  • At this time, children are only allowed in the gym if they are planning to climb. We ask for parents and children to book their time-slots together. Space in the gym will be limited, so infants will need to stay home, as we will not be able to accommodate strollers and seats within the gym. This measure will last as long as the deconfinement measures continue.
  • Change rooms will be closed at this time
  • No food or drink (except for water) is to be consumed inside the gym. However, if you’d like to eat or drink a snack you may do so in our outdoor parking lot area.
  • No bare feet in the gym, please wear your climbing or street shoes at all times.
  • We require the use of liquid chalk or chalk balls to help limit the spread of particulate within the gym.

*These service offerings are subject to change as new information becomes available.
