CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

Dear Seven Bays Customers,

Due to the recent increase in Covid-19 Cases in Nova Scotia, the government has announced that we will be entering another lockdown in order to control the spread. Seven Bays will be closed as of Friday, April 23rd 2021 until further notice.

We've been here before and we'll get through it again folks!

Our priority remains the safety of our customers and staff. We thank everyone for being respectful, patient and understanding of the measures put in place since our last lockdown. Thanks to your collaboration, we've managed to stay open and maintain safety within our facilities. We'll be back in no time!

All memberships will be frozen automatically and free of charge during this temporary closure. Once we're able to open again, we'll automatically unfreeze all memberships. If you're financially able, you can opt to keep your membership active during this third lockdown (link in Bio). We greatly appreciate your support and comprehension.

RESERVATION SYSTEM

A reservation is required to climb at the Gottingen location 3:30pm to close. The reservation system is explained below.

TIMESLOTS


Each reservation allows you to climb for a 2-hour session.

You must have checked in, warmed up, climbed and left the gym within these 2 hours.

When booking you will be asked to choose a time slot. To avoid line ups or crossover, there are 30 minutes between the end of a timeslot and the beginning of the next one.

HOW TO RESERVE


Reservations must be done online and must be paid in advance. When booking online, you must provide your credit card number. 

You will be able to book in advance or at the last minute.

THE PROCESS


Prepare for your visit:
Come dressed in your athletic-wear. 
There will be no access to the changerooms during this time.
Pack a bag for your things. There will be no access to the usual cubbies we offer, so please bring a bag that you can carry with you throughout your session.
Bring a face covering.  Climbers must use face coverings in order to limit the spread of airborne droplets.
Liquid Chalk.  We will be requiring the use of liquid chalk or chalk balls within the facility. No loose chalk.

Arrive no-earlier than 15 minutes before your designated time-slot
Please respect social distancing while waiting to enter the gym.
Everyone must disinfect their hands and put on a face covering before checking in.

Check-In and Climb: 

Scan-in and give your name to the front desk staff
Follow our zoning guidelines on the floor and mats for proper traffic flow and proper social distancing within the gym.
Send it now! (But also take it easy, don't get injured.)

HYGIENE MEASURES

AT THE ENTRANCE

Upon entering the gym and before starting to climb, each person must disinfect their hands. 

THROUGHOUT THE CENTRE

In addition to hand disinfecting at the entrance, we have several hand disinfection stations at your disposal. You are invited to regularly disinfect your hands between climbs.

LIQUID CHALK

It is strongly recommended to use liquid chalk since the alcohol content is usually over 70% and can even reach 99.9%, which contributes to the disinfection process. 

Wearing a mask is mandatory at all times. Reusable masks are available for purchase at the gym.

Wearing shoes and a shirt is mandatory at all time

PREVENTIVE MEASURES

If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms (fever, cough, difficulty breathing, sick, cold or tired) or are in voluntary or mandatory isolation, or if you are awaiting the result of a Covid-19 test, we ask that you respect this isolation and stay home. You must diagnose your condition in a self-critical manner and consider the impact of transmission on others before coming to the centre.  Our employees may ask you to leave the centre if they consider your health status to be at risk.

If you postpone your reservation because of your health condition or because of isolation, there will be no cancellation fee.

During the entire duration of your visit to Seven Bays, as well as during check-in and check-out, regulations and recommendations regarding social distancing must be respected. You must keep a minimum distance of two metres between each person during your visit.

COHABITATION AND RELATIONSHIPS

Even if you are co-habiting or in a relationship with your climbing partner, you must respect social distancing. Knowing that distancing is one of the most effective tools against the spread of the virus, everyone will have to submit to it in order to provide the safest possible environment for everyone.

CHILDREN UNDER 14 YEARS OF AGE

The only valid exception to social distancing is for children under 14 years of age and their parent living in the same household. Parent-child climbers must stay together in the marked areas and respect all other distancing measures.

  • HYGIENE PRACTICES

All staff and climbers will be required to wear a face covering while inside the gym. We will also be requiring liquid chalk, which will be readily available for purchase at the front desk. There are now more ways to clean and sanitize your hands within the gym as well. Please use them frequently.

  • INCREASED CLEANING

We have adapted our policies and have limited access to increase the frequency of cleaning high touch surfaces. There will be a sanitization block in-between every time slot. This should help, but will not replace good personal hygiene practices while in the facility.

  • PROTECTING OUR STAFF

We have limited some services and programs to help reduce the risk for our staff. Please respect the new policies and practice good personal hygiene. Current changes to services offered include*:

  • All additional programs such as Beta Night, Womxn's Climb, Bouldering 101, and our Youth Program have been suspended until further notice.
  • At this time, children are only allowed in the gym if they are planning to climb. We ask for parents and children to book their time-slots together. Space in the gym will be limited, so infants will need to stay home, as we will not be able to accommodate strollers and seats within the gym. This measure will last as long as the deconfinement measures continue. 
  • Change rooms will be closed at this time
  • No bare feet in the gym, please wear your climbing or street shoes at all times.
  • We require the use of liquid chalk or chalk balls to help limit the spread of particulate within the gym.

*These service offerings are subject to change as new information becomes available.

Rental shoes remain available. They are disinfected according to manufacturers' recommendations after each use. 

Chalk rental is suspended for the duration of the pandemic.

WHAT TO BRING


Here is a list of things to bring to your climbing session:

  • Climbing shoes and chalk bag
  • Clothing (arrive dressed and ready to climb - shirts are mandatory)
  • Sandals or shoes for walking around
  • Filled water bottle

RESERVATION QUESTIONS

Yes. You can cancel a reservation up to 24 hours before the start of the booking. Please fill out the form below to cancel.

CANCELLATION FORM

Yes. You can book for 2 people at a time.

You are responsible for your partners reservation. If they need a daypass, you will have to pay for it at the time of reservation.

Yes, you can arrive late to your reservation, but you must respect the end time of your time slot and you will not have a time extension.

You can show up to 30 minutes before the end of your reservation, after which time we consider you have not shown up and you will have to pay the "no show" fee.

Yes, however, priority will be given to climbers with reservations. You can make a reservation until the moment you arrive, on your phone. We cannot guarantee that there will be time slots available.

No. If you book two time slots one after the other in the same day, the second one will be automatically cancelled.

The reservation will only be accepted if you are a 10-punch pass holder or if the entry is paid for with a daypass. For 10-punch pass holders, two entries will be deducted from your account and for daypasses, the entry will have to be paid for twice.

No. The exchange of reservations between members is not accepted. The reservation will have to be cancelled and re-booked by the other member.

MEMBERSHIP QUESTIONS

EFT MEMBERSHIPS

EFT memberships were put on pause as soon as the gym closed. The $8 fees were not charged. Your membership was reactivated on June 16th.

PREPAID MEMBERSHIPS

All prepaid memberships had their end dates adjusted to compensate for the exact duration of the closure.

If you don't feel comfortable climbing at the centre, you can always freeze your membership. A fee of 8$/month will apply.

Yes. The prices remain the same.

Business hours are 8AM to 11:00PM

Yes. Space is limited, so if you want to come to the gym you will need to pay an entry fee even if you do not plan on climbing.
